Book a Room This Weekend and Join Us in Supporting Suicide Prevention – Plus, Explore Toledo's Fall Festivities!

As September comes to a close, there's still time to book a room at The Kings Throne Inn and Guest House and make a difference! This month, in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, we’ve pledged to donate 10% of all September reservation sales to the Ohio Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Your stay at our cozy inn will not only provide you with a restful escape but will also support a critical cause that helps save lives and bring awareness to mental health.

If you haven’t yet booked your weekend getaway, this is your last chance to join us in contributing to AFSP. We’re also offering the opportunity for guests to make additional donations during their stay or directly from our website, giving everyone a chance to be part of something meaningful.

As the season shifts into fall, Toledo transforms into a hub of autumn fun. The Kings Throne Inn is your perfect home base for discovering all the area has to offer. Check out these top seasonal activities to enjoy while you're here:

1. Toledo Farmers’ Market

Kick off your weekend with a visit to the Toledo Farmers’ Market, where you can browse local produce, artisan crafts, and seasonal flowers. The fall harvest brings a bounty of pumpkins, apples, and gourds—perfect for taking a piece of autumn back with you. The market is a short drive from the inn, making it an ideal morning activity before your afternoon adventures.

2. Fall Foliage at the Toledo Metroparks.

With the leaves changing, Toledo’s Metroparks are a must-see during the fall months. Oak Openings Preserve, Wildwood Preserve, and Swan Creek Preserve are just a few of the stunning parks where you can immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the vibrant colors of autumn. Pack a picnic, hike the trails, or simply relax and soak in the beauty of the season.

3. Haunted Brew Tours

Looking for some spooky fall fun? Toledo’s Haunted Brew Tours combine the area's best breweries with ghostly tales and paranormal investigations. Hop from brewery to brewery, sample some seasonal brews, and learn about Toledo’s haunted past. It’s the perfect blend of eerie excitement and craft beer enjoyment.

4. The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium

The Toledo Zoo is another fantastic fall destination, especially during the weekends when they host special events like “Pumpkin Path.” With fewer crowds, cooler temperatures, and seasonal exhibits, you can explore the zoo at a leisurely pace and enjoy all the festive autumnal decorations.

5. Maumee Bay State Park

Just a short drive from the inn, Maumee Bay State Park is a beautiful spot to take in the crisp fall air. Whether you’re walking along the lake, fishing, or bird watching, Maumee Bay provides a tranquil escape to connect with nature.
